The Darkness 8: The Hive

April 1 st 3:30PM Me and my pack met at our local park to wait for the hybrid pack. While C.D., Marie, and Ray played ball; me, Cee, Audio and Ciara sat on the table and look out across the field. Half way across the park the vampires sat at their own table under the trees. There were few times our groups as a whole were close to each other and it was mostly when we convened in the park.   It made me think of how thing would be had the feud between vampires and werewolves had not started. It started Native American tribes that were plagued by night monsters. Many of them got together and decided they needed to fight back and protect themselves. With that decision, the mystic shaman from four of the biggest tribes came together and used the the power of nature magic to turn warriors of every tribe into animal shapeshifters. Bats, wolves, alligators, and scorpions respective to their village. This worked perfectly and for a while kept the creatures away, but soon the more ...

Shirinai x Darkness x Emerald's Fire: Black and White

It was night time and the war was now over. We stood staring at the full moon; I exhaled and seen my warm breath dissipate in the cold air. We continued our trek through the unburied graveyard. The battle field was littered with thousands of bloody corpses. Bodies hacked and slashed, limbs sliced off, and body parts were scattered everywhere. There were even a few horse and dog carcasses. Everything was still and silent yet still an eerie presence loomed. It was a disgustingly horrid setting. In the distant a raven cried and flew off into the sky. “Dammit, this is what it came to?” I growled lowly. “All because the princess died giving birth to twins; it’s sickening.” Kyoma replied. We walked passed one of our dead comrades; he left his pregnant wife to join the war immediately after burying his mother that had just passed on. It was a horrendous calamity. Scents of steel, flesh, and death lingered heavily in the frigid night’s air and stained our senses. The soil beneath our feet was...

The Darkness 7: La Llorona

March 24, 2015 March 11th 6:42 P.M. It was a short time before we found out what was trying to abduct children in our town just as the The Slender Man once had. For this encounter I had to enlist the help of the vampires and naturally I only asked Marina, who was more than glad to help. She met me at my house several hours before we were set to depart. “I have to tell you this before anything, Marina, it’s going to be just me and you out there. None of my pack and no one from your hive can come.” I warned her. She had a faint smile, sipped her tea then answered “Okay.”   I opened the notebook Cee often kept and showed her what we were up against. “La Llorona,” I said as read his notes “she's originally from Mexico but she’s found her way up here.” I showed her a picture of the ghost like young woman with long hair and a small build. There wasn’t much to the drawing other than her long hair and sad face. “She’s a specter or spirit or whatever the hell. When she was alive, she...

Shirinai: Kyoma Shows His Face

“You know Aria, I don’t exactly like this.” Ren told Aria. “It’s all right, Ren.” I assured her. I looked over at Michael who’s orange eyes had a look of confidence. “You know how your siblings can be, Gary. I can’t tell them ‘no’. They want you tested, so I’m here.” Aria told me with a huge smile. My older brother and sister had enlisted the help Wind Elemental Sage Aria and her apprentice Michael to test my growth as a ninja. “Shouldn’t you guys be saving elemental beasts? There are better things we both can be doing, Gary.” Ren pointed out. Since I had given her charge of our Bounty Hunters business she had become an amazing leader and kept everything well organized and in order unlike me. Aria gave me an open, suggestive smile and I nodded. “Then let us get this over with,” I told Aria “don’t worry Ren, if Leo and Lene want me to do this, it’ll be for a good reason. It’s not like I can say no anyways.” Ren raised her eyebrow and gave an “I guess” look then nodded in agreement. Ari...
