Shirinai x Darkness x Emerald's Fire: Black and White

It was night time and the war was now over. We stood staring at the full moon; I exhaled and seen my warm breath dissipate in the cold air. We continued our trek through the unburied graveyard. The battle field was littered with thousands of bloody corpses. Bodies hacked and slashed, limbs sliced off, and body parts were scattered everywhere. There were even a few horse and dog carcasses. Everything was still and silent yet still an eerie presence loomed. It was a disgustingly horrid setting. In the distant a raven cried and flew off into the sky. “Dammit, this is what it came to?” I growled lowly. “All because the princess died giving birth to twins; it’s sickening.” Kyoma replied. We walked passed one of our dead comrades; he left his pregnant wife to join the war immediately after burying his mother that had just passed on. It was a horrendous calamity. Scents of steel, flesh, and death lingered heavily in the frigid night’s air and stained our senses. The soil beneath our feet was drenched and muddied with the blood of our allies and enemies alike. While some souls ascended into the sky, most sank with the crimson rivers of blood to damnation. Thousands of lives destroyed and thousands of souls lost. All that was left was the bloody weapons and the lifeless bodies. Soon we came upon a sight that stopped us in our tracks. My heart sank in my chest and I couldn’t breathe. Lying amongst limbless and decapitated enemy corpses was the dead body of our partner Jessica. Her belly was sliced open, gutted like a fish head on. The frontal attack meant she was killed staring her death in the eyes. I shed tears but no sounds came out as I took her armor and adorned myself with it. Kyoma picked up her light blue sword and strapped it to himself. Equipping Jessica’s armor was our pain filled honor for our fallen teammate; it was as if though a piece of our lives had been cut away. We only mourned her for a few moments when a demonic presence washed over us. Kyoma turned around then I did the same. Behind us, in an onyx black cloak, covered in a demonic aura, The Reaper stood menacingly. His scythe reflected the hundreds of souls he reaped during the bloody massacre. The air was no longer still; the pain of thousands of soldiers and the tension between us and The Reaper disturbed the stillness in the air. The tall thin figured lifted a boney finger and beckoned us. “He killed Jessica.” Kyoma said with hatred. My thoughts went to Jessica's body sliced open and rage engulf my soul. Kyoma drew his twin blades, put one back, and drew Jessica’s blade. I unsheathed my sword and tighten Jessica's armor on my shoulders. Kyoma look at me with a dull empty look in his eyes. I returned it with a look of bloodlust. Kyoma and I were both ready. “We kill for Jessica's life. Or die trying and join her.” I whispered. It was our final battle; a fight to the death with Death.
