The Darkness 5: Ender Game (Part Two)

February 25th: 5:20 A.M. I was sleeping peacefully when I sensed something that forced me awake. It was something evil, sinister and foreboding. I sat up and looked over at the clock to help my eyes adjust to the darkness but it didn't help. The feeling led my eyes to what was at the end my bed. At the foot of bed was a large hairless creature that seemed to a naked man or a large hairless dog. Its horridly emaciated pale white body was contorted in a weird position turned away from me, and looked to be just skin and bones. It was surrounded by an aura of evil and carnage that threw me off. With with my hands still under the covers I protracted my claws, grew my fangs, and changed to my werewolf eyes. For a few moments that seemed like forever, I sat there with my fangs bared ready to attack, glaring at the monstrosity then it finally turned it's head. There were black hollows where it’s eyes should've been and it’s mouth was filled with several sharp teeth. It's m...

The Darkness 5: Ender Game (Part One)

I remember when I was first bitten. It was a foggy Thursday night and I was walking home through the woods. I was just walking out of the woods into my neighborhood when a huge wolf came charging out of the fog from behind me, jumped up, and bit down on my shoulder. It was so sudden, I was stuck in shock as the wild beast's fangs sunk deep. For a minute everything went slow motion and my heart sink into my chest; I was scared. Finally the pain set in and I knocked it off of me and it disappeared into the woods behind me. Still in shock my eyes never left the wood from where the beast came from. The bite barely bled and did hurt at all so I went home and washed and cleaned it. The next morning the wound was completely healed over. I went for the rest of the week not caring about the bite, until the full moon. The night of the full moon where the bite had once been began to burn. Soon that burn turned into my whole body overheating; I couldn't stay in the bed. I left my house...

The Darkness 4: Bladenboro Beast

It had been a week since me and Cee and I had our encounter with Big Foot. And since then Cee had quickly fallen ill like the rest of our group. They recently had taken a turn for the worst and their symptoms now included coughing up blood and violent convulsions. The symptoms had become so severe that they had seemingly permanently changed into wolves. Because of that me and C.D. had to chain them up in a underground bunker in the woods to protect our existence. I later found out that Samuel the vampire had wiped Big Foot's memory clear of the altercation between us in for the same reason. Big Foot was watched and had exhibited same symptoms as my group. When I heard that I remembered seeing dried blood around his nose and under his neck during the fight. It was all nerve wrecking. The sickness, whatever it was, was hitting hard. Not being able to use my power to the fullest was a risk factor that I had to take full notice to. My only fear was if the sickness was going to reac...

The Darkness 3: Big Foot

My group had been downed. They had caught a sickness that seemed to have targeted us. The symptoms were severe exhaustion and nausea, vomiting, pains, and occasional nose bleeds. Those of us who had it were bed ridden and couldn't leave home. None of us knew where it came from or how we caught it but the latest of my group to be affected was Audio. The only ones left were me, Cee, and C.D. Even though I had some of the slightest of some of the symptoms I was sure not to tell them. Especially with the way things were going in our town. I couldn't afford to let it get the best of me; not then or ever. There was no way the sickness should've been able to get all of us. Something wasn't right. February 11th: 10:30 P.M. Me and Cee hadn't even left our quiet neighborhood for our night patrol in the woods when we had sensed something was wrong. It was a pitch black, windy, freezing cold night filled with dense fog and no signs of life other than us. It was the bl...

Shirinai: Winds Of Change Arc 2

Due to my family's ability to speak with the dead, we were chosen to preserve the balance of life and death in the Village of Death. Because of my ability to enter purgatory and control the souls, I was given the job of traveling and helping those who weren't meant to die, and help those who had not passed, pass. This particular incident; someone was disturbing the graves of a lot of recently deceased souls. So I went to the graveyard with Kia to investigate. "Why did you bring me with you again?" Kia asked as we walked down the path in the graveyard. "Well, if you had listened in the beginning Kia there might be a Sin here." I reminded. Really, I just didn't want to tell her Gary arranged for her to come with me just yet. "How do you know?" she asked. I was going to answer but a spirit flew up from behind a grave and to me "There's someone here. We are unsure who it is but they are using a basket to 'harvest' us." It sa...

Shirinai: Winds Of Change Arc 1

It had been a week since I gave our Shirinai Bounty Hunters business over to Ren. I no longer felt fit to run the business and gave it to the most capable hands. She decided that we had to make an attempt to get Destiny back. Destiny had fallen to the control of the ninja Sins Lust and Pride on her mission three days after Ren took charge and left. Shortly we were contacted by Darki saying that she had killed 4 people and was headed southeast toward the ocean. This put us two people down since Kyoma left on his own. Ren called a meeting with me on what to do about Destiny. "I'll go get her, if there's going to be anyone that's going to be able to get her back it'll be me." I told Ren. We sat her office. "Alright, take Kia with you" Ren said "She'll make it easier for you to bring her back." "No! She's only 7, Ren. She hasn't realized that Destiny left and if we drag her into this you know it'll tear her apart. I refus...

Shirinai: Team Yoru No

"Team Yoru No." The old man breathed heavily. "You've finally made it here." he was levitating with his legs crossed over a crystal clear was built in the middle of an open roof palace. The palace sat on top of a huge mountain in the Middle East. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful setting, but an ugly reason to be there. He was old and fragile, dark brown skinned with a turban on his head. Dressed in white pants and a vest, it was a wonder how he came about owning this entire huge solid gold palace and he still looked so poor. The sky was as bright blue as the lake and the sun lit everything brilliantly. "He's not alone." Danielle said quietly. "There are three other ninjas out there, you should just come out!" She called out. Her eyes had turned from brown to grey; they stared out, focused and intense. Next to the old man from the water emerged two ninja. The one on his right was a young woman. She was short, about 5 feet tall with...
