Shirinai: Team Yoru No

"Team Yoru No." The old man breathed heavily. "You've finally made it here." he was levitating with his legs crossed over a crystal clear was built in the middle of an open roof palace. The palace sat on top of a huge mountain in the Middle East. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful setting, but an ugly reason to be there. He was old and fragile, dark brown skinned with a turban on his head. Dressed in white pants and a vest, it was a wonder how he came about owning this entire huge solid gold palace and he still looked so poor. The sky was as bright blue as the lake and the sun lit everything brilliantly. "He's not alone." Danielle said quietly. "There are three other ninjas out there, you should just come out!" She called out. Her eyes had turned from brown to grey; they stared out, focused and intense. Next to the old man from the water emerged two ninja. The one on his right was a young woman. She was short, about 5 feet tall with a thin build; her hair was brown and her skin was light. The girl adorned a strange pink flower in her hair and wore a tight purple ninja suit. She had a strange headband and a pink gem on her forehead. The man on the right was tall and muscular; he wore a black shawl with a straw hat on his head."Oh boy, this isn't going to be easy." Ray groaned. "I never would've thought guys would make it this far. But I've taken precautions even for this. Don’t worry this won’t get any easier." The old man said. As easy as it would be to dash across the lake and hack off the old man's head, the two other ninja prevented that. We had our hands full, especially with the male ninja. "So Rajput, you hired Wrath to defend you. I guess that was a wise idea." I growled referring to the muscular ninja in black. Danielle next to me shifted "Oh no," She asked She had never encountered any of the Ninja Sins "that's Wrath?" I nodded in response. Across the lake I seen Wrath's face grin, he was more humanly and less angry looking than I anticipated. This was only my second time encountering a Ninja Sin. "Yeah, I have an idea." Ray answered for me. He took a few steps forward. "Hey! The other ninja out there. COME OUT! We know you're out there!" He yelled. I remembered Danielle said she had seen another ninja out on the lake. I glanced back at her, her eyes were still grey. A tall skinny ninja emerged from the water behind Rajput; he looked exactly like a male version of Radi Patel. He and the old man began in a conversation; it looked as if though they were arguing. "Danielle, what are they saying?" I asked. They were standing at least 3/4 a mile away from us. Danielle's grey eyes flashed and she stared at the two arguing. Danielle had a specialty in a Sensory Technique known as Harpy's Blessing. Her eyes would turn from brown to grey and she would have sight and hearing comparable to that of a hawk or an eagle. "'I've lost my granddaughter and grandson, your wife has died, all I have left is you, my only son.' he said" Danielle reported to me "'Dad, I will not die today.' That's Radi's dad, theyre now speaking in a language I can't understand." She walked over to Ray. I nodded and began thinking, but I was distracted my Ray's hand on my shoulder. He whispered his plan to me, and I hesitated. They stood so far out from us, the lake was huge, they had to be at least two hundred yards out. "Trust me, Marai," he smiled "Hey! You! Arguing with the old man." He called out. Wrath looked impatient as Radi's father turned and looked over at us, "What do you want?" he snarled. I could see Ray smiling under his face mask "We aren't going to turn around. And you have some type of problem with Ms. Marai here? Well. You'll have to get passed me." Radi's father looked enraged, that made Wrath grin again. That's when Ray darted out on the lake and ran at them. "This stays one on one or I'll kill the other three!" he said as he advanced toward them. Radi's Grandfather yelled at his son, "Raveen! Don't do it!" Overcome by rage, he ran toward Ray "You have the nerve to disgrace my palace and now you try to deny me revenge of my daughter's death? I'll kill you here and now." He yelled with anger. Danielle quickly reached out and touched me, I gained her eyesight, I was seeing as good and as close as she was. Raveen slapped his hand on the surface of the water. There was a huge poof of smoke and a strange humanoid creature appeared. It was all red with gold dots all over its body and sharp shark like teeth. No eyes, hair, or nose. Its body was quadruped, so it stood slouched over, with long claws hanging. Its spine was exposed and its whole body seemed to be covered in tight skin. "Cannibal of Kashasa! Aid me." He told the creature. Ray's run toward them didn't cease. The creature turned to Ray, and its long pink tongue shot out at him. He dodged it it at first but it turned and wrapped around him. "That was the stupidest move you could've made" Ray said irritated. The Cannibal fixated itself to a crouch on all fours and pulled Ray in. Just as it brought him close enough, Ray's body disappeared into a poof of purple smoke. "Got him." Danielle said. Between Raveen and the Cannibal, there was a moment of stillness, and then the Cannibal turned to Raveen and smiled. "Possession Jutsu successful." it said. It's skinned turned from red to purple; Ray had successfully taken over it’s body. Ray’s Possession Jutsu was a part of his personal “Purple Mist Technique. Purple Mist allowed Ray to turn his body into a purple mist for short periods of time and move freely. We watched Ray in the possessed cannibal body. There was still that stillness in the air. Ray jumped out at Raveen and slashed, but he dodged easily by taking a step back. The purple body began shaking violently and purple smoke spewed from his mouth, and Ray reformed back into an exact replica of the Cannibal. The original body returned to it’s crimson red color and the Cannibal hissed. "What happened?" I asked. Danielle thought for a moment then answered "I don't think he was able to stay in possession of that body. That thing WAS human before, but not now. It's giving off more Spiritual Chakra rather than Physical Chakra. It's more of a spirit than, well, a being." She focused her sight more on the creature "Ray's Possession Technique can't control a spirit, there's no body." We looked out on the lake. "Replication Jutsu successful." Ray said with distaste in his voice. He shifted, moving every inch of his replicated cannibal body then dove into the water. Raveen and the Cannibal both looked confused as to what to do. A minute of still nothingness; nothing but anticipation. A giant purple claw rose from the water behind the girl next to the Rajput and slashed her back then disappeared back under the water. "You violated the one on one fight!" She screamed "Now it's on!" She performed 5 hand seals then touched the gem on her head "8th Plane of the Immortals!" Then my sight returned to normal. Danielle panicked "Marai, we have to get Ray, we can't let that Genjutsu go through!" she urged. She took off her red flak vest, and two large white feathered wings sprouted from her back. "Ninja Art! Harpy's Blessing" She flapped her wings twice then took off over the lake. "Lightning Style! Plasma Charge!" Lightning Chakra surrounded me, drew my sword, and charged out on the lake. Overhead I heard Danielle's wings flap toward me, she descended to a hover above the water next to me. "I'll take Raveen and the Cannibal, I'm sure Ray will help you break the Genjutsu. Just stay away from Wrath." I commanded. In my head I knew this was heavily faulted, but I had to trust Ray’s plan was without flaw. Danielle ascended over head and reached 30 feet over Xim's head. "Feathers of Revealing Light!" She flapped her wings releasing a storm of feathers that swirled around Xim. Just as I focused my attention back to Raveen he slapped his palm on the surface of the water.

Xim's Genjutsu was broken. "Don't think those little feathers are enough to stop me." She yelled. I stared at her. She was weird, like a cartoon, almost unreal. "Well unless you can fly, there's no way you're winning this." I said. I could see a strange chakra being coming out of the pink flower on her head but couldn't tell what it was. Xim launched at me, I repelled her with a powerful slap from my wings. She hit the surface of the water and smiled; I frowned and flew higher out of her reach. The pink flower on her head turned red. The petals peeled off and surrounded her "Ninja Art! Vampire Transformation!" She sprouted to hand like wings; top canines grew to fangs, and her eyes glowed violet. Her transformation had made her monstrous and changed her chakra completely. "Crap." I thought. Xim flapped her wings and ascended to my level, "Now it's even, Harpy versus Vampire!" Xim grinned. It wasn't a fair fight, her wings were twice the size of mine, and her Taijutsu shot up with her wings. This fight ratio was nearly 3:1. "Then let's fight." I told her. She came instantly, a powerfully solid knee to my stomach. I was knocked off my balance and flung back. Before I could compose myself; she grabbed my legs and began whipping me around in circles and tossed me. I took the chance to put distance between us; I closed my wings, gained momentum and sped off. She was in front of me before I knew it. "What the hell, she shouldn't have caught up at my speed." I thought. I was stunned. Something wasn't right. I stared at her for a moment then was caught by her violet eyes, they began emitting a chakra; I tried to look away but couldn't. Everything began turning purple and black; I struggled to stay airborne, I was caught in a paralyzing trance. The chakra was constricting every muscle in my body. As she flapped her wings the chakra began spreading, engulfing everything. Shortly enough, we were trapped in an orb of negative chakra aura. "Ninja Art! Molting Feathers! I flapped my wings and released chakra infuse feathers; breaking free of the bind on my body. I looked around to see her chakra hand separated us from my teammates' battles and put us in her own setting. The odds were now unknown to me but I would do what I have to take an advantage. I held my hands out; palm up. "Harpy's Blessing! Wind Spirits!" Wind swirled then formed into two large orbs of plasmatic wind in my hands. I snapped my fingers and then began swirling around my wings. Xim looked startled, as if see didn't expect what she saw. Xim bared her fangs growling. She came at me with her claws aiming for my throat; I swept to the side and knocked her away with my wing. She was off balance; I used my Feather Bomb Jutsu. There was a feather and smoke cloud surrounding her body from the explosion; I used my Harpy's Blessing to see right through it. She was fine; she used her wings to defend against my Feather Bombs. I ascended higher, and then dove down spiraling. "Harpy Hurricane." The Wind Spirits whipped around me making a razor wind. I landed my attack and hit Xim directly; sending her flying backwards. That wasn't enough; I hit her with another barrage of Feather Bombs. Her limp body flung around a few time then her wings flapped and she jetted upwards. "You bitch!" She screamed. There charka that had surrounded us began pulsating; it was moving in very which direction. The chakra was all linked to Xim, this negative chakra. I called two more Wind Spirits into my hands. Xim began laughing "Ninja Art! Vampire's Nightmare!" Thousands of yellow eyes glared from the aura. "Oh boy," I thought "I’m screwed.”

There was Wrath, over my head, just standing there. The stage had been set; it was my role that needed to be played now. I climbed out of the water onto the surface behind Wrath. I shot my tongue out and around his neck. "So Ray, you decided to come out of hiding?" He said in a gruff voice. Old man Rajput looked up startled out of his meditative state and teleported yards away. I whipped Wrath around a few times in the air before dropping him. I leapt onto him and began slashing and clawing at his upper body. I didn't stop attacking until I got tired at which point I took a savage bite of his neck and leapt off. There was no damage done, as expected. "You know you can't kill me, Ray." Wrath said smugly. He turned to me; his shirt was ripped off from my assault. "So what are you doing to do, especially in that ugly body?" He was teasing me, trying to get rage out of me. "I know I can't kill you. But I also know you can't kill me." I smiled. The smug look was wiped off his face immediately. "Oh, you didn't think I knew? Believe me, I have my ways. And I know you're responsible for the experimentation on the ‘Weapon of War’ for the Toxin Village." He shifted a little "We're at a stale mate then." Wrath growled. We glared at each other for awhile, not knowing what to do. I ran to him and slugged his jaw as hard as I could; breaking it. He yelled in pain and began flailing. "That shouldn’t have hurt me!" he screamed with anger. "Purple Haze Possession!" I dissolved into purple mist and possessed his body. While in Wrath's body he fought for control. We fought for a few minutes then I found what I was looking for. Wrath's body threw me up, so I rematerialized as my own body. "Heh heh." I chuckled. His body began to shake violently "Thank you for transforming me, there wasnt enough anger to turn." I jumped a few yards back and waited. Wrath's body expanded then exploded into a bull like creature at least 20 feet tall had the body of brown bull with arms and black upper body of a gorilla; it’s horns were twice the size of its head. Sharp white teeth protrude giving him an over bite and the tip of his tail was flaming. He stood on his hind legs and pounded on his chest, roaring. "Your true form is uglier." I teased. Wrath roared and like an angered bull, charged at me. There was no chance of dodging, I turned to mist and let him run through me. When I rematerialized behind him "You know that charging at me won't work right?" I ran and jumped onto his back. He started bucking and trying to swat me with his flaming tail. I used my Haze Body technique to sink my legs into his body and blocked his tail with my kunai. He stood on his hind legs and began clawing at his back. I grabbed one of fingers and broke it. While he screamed in agony I jumped off of his back and back onto the lake. "You see, I figured it out. Sure I can't kill you, but with my Purple Haze Possession Technique; if I possess the small section of your body I'm attacking, I can harm you." Wrath began flailing wildly and roaring. He turned to me, and his tail stretched out lashing at me. I dodged each slap with a quick jerk to the side. He retracted his tail, rose up, beat on his chest and charged. I turned to haze and he ran through me. "You're pathetic!" I called out. I had to make him angrier; it was time for the second half of the plan. "The worst sin I've faced, and ugliest." I laughed. The flame on the end of his tail turned into a blaze and his horns grew. He turned around charged again. This time I jumped over him; letting him pass under me. Behind me I heard the trumpet of an elephant in pain.

Ray had successfully turned Wrath to his true form. And he blindly took out the War Elephant Raveen summoned. Raveen gawked at the transformed Wrath in amazement. The Cannibal's attention was never diverted from me; until something purple fell from the sky, slamming into it. I looked up to see Danielle hovering overhead, she looked exhausted. She had defeated Xim and cometed her body into the Cannibal's. Good, I was tired of fighting them. "Ray! Do it now!" He nodded then pulled out a scroll and put his hand on the center of the seal "Raijingu-ko Hashira!" 9 enormous silver pillars erupted from different places in the lake."Danielle, let’s get out of here!" Ray called out to her; she nodded and flew toward’s the lake’s stone edge. "Lightning Style! Plasma Charge!" I readied my sword and looked at Ray. "Don't worry about me; I'm going to get Xim out of here." Ray said "Just be careful. Wrath can't die and Raveen is still able to attack. " as he possessed Xim's body "This technique will rip your body apart if you're not careful. Turning your body into electricity and traveling from conductor is a good way to lose pieces." He warned. I nodded in response. As soon as he was on the stone edge; I began. Wrath turned and faced me and Raveen's attention was back on me "All your teammates left? It's you against us!" He laughed. Wrath's true form was hideous, and huge, on top of all that he couldn't be killed. "The Lightning Chakra that surrounded me was crackling. "Lightning Style! Dance of Lightning!" My body turned to pure electricity and was pulled to the pillar closest to Wrath. The whole lake was covered in static. I reformed cut his two hind legs and returned to pillar. From there, Raveen was next; I transferred over to the pillars closest to him. There was a huge poof then he disappeared. There wasn't enough time; I could hear Wrath tearing down the pillars. I transferred my body over to pillar Rajput was hiding behind. Just as I reformed, he looked up at me, and I decapitated him. His blood stained the water he stood on as his body slowly sunk. The electricity was expanding, I had to return to normal or my body would dissolve. "Marai! Come out of hiding!" Wrath roared. I reformed on the surface of the water, ending my Jutsu. I peeked out from behind the pillar. Wrath was on a rampage, knocking down the pillars one by one; Raveen was nowhere to be found. This was bad, he summoned something and I had no clue what it was. There were seven pillars left, Wrath was working on knocking down the seventh; six was all I needed. I reached into the pouch on my waist and pulled out a scroll, unraveled it, and wrapped it around the base of my sword. I jumped on top of the pillar; Wrath still had his back turned. "Lightning Style! Electron Storm!" I lifted my sword in the air and a bolt of lightning spread from Katana to all the pillars, then a bolt struck Wrath, he rolled and screamed. "Dammit, you little brat! I'm going to kill you!" he began charging for my pillar. "Got you!" I laughed as the electricity from the pillars discharged into Wrath, leaving him stuck where he was. I readied my sword for a lethal blow but a huge green eel like creature came out of the water. It was 5 times Wrath's size, with two yellow horns protruding from its mouth and slimy yellow skin. It its horn absorbed the electricity from the pillars; freeing Wrath. Raveen rode the eel's back "Your Lightning Style doesn't work on Leviathan. You're luck is gone!" He laughed. I looked out to the shore where my team was, and then down to the pillar I was standing on. He was right; I was stuck. Wrath and the Leviathan were advancing towards me fast, and I had no moves to make. I released the charge from my sword.

There was a savage roar behind me, "Ninja Art! Impact Punch!" something red flashed passed me and hit Leviathan. A ninja in red pants punched it so hard it was sent flying backwards into pillar, knocking it down. Just as it hit the pillar, he turned around and punched Wrath in the jaw, whipping Wrath’s head to the side. He had so much raw power. He and Wrath began a boxing match, a human against a 20 foot beast; I was stuck in awe. There was a huge puff where the Leviathan went down. Behind the ninja in red another Leviathan rose up out of the water; this one was blue. It reared up to attack; then the roar from before startled it. Before it could turn around a tiger came running out and latched itself onto the giant eel's back. "That's Tryga and Tora!" I thought. I was star struck; Tryga was one the world's physically strongest ninjas. There was another poof, Raveen had summoned something else. I charged my sword and prepared to help them battle. There was nothing to be seen. "Tryga, Tora, I made it!" Another ninja joined them in the fray; he was a young black ninja with orange eyes. He engaged the Lightning Style Leviathan that Raveen was riding "Lava Style! Hell Salamander's Roar!" He began spewing hot lava on the beast. I heard a screech over head; and looked up. There above our head there was a Wind Style Leviathan flying around; its skin was white and were its fins where suppose to be it had small wings. "Where are all these people coming from?" I thought out loud. A heavy breeze hit me from behind. "Let us handle this." a soft voice said. It was a girl, with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a white cloak with gray waves. "Who are you?" I asked. She smiled "I'm Wind Elemental Sage Aria." "What are you guys doing here?" I questioned cautiously. "Those Leviathans aren't summoning beast naturally. They were sealed using a Sealing Technique by Rajput Patel. Being that they are beasts of great elemental chakra; it's up to the Sages to free them. They were summoned here so this is our chance to free them from his seal." She answered as she watched the Wind Leviathan float over head. I looked out to the battlefield where Tryga, Tora, and their partner were fighting. "Who is the other ninja with Tryga?" I asked remembering he had said Tryga's name. "His name is Michael Thomas. He was recruited as Sage Scholar." I accepted her answer. They seemed to have the situation under their control. I cut my finger and summoned a Black Panther. "Alright, I'm leaving." I told her; and jumped on it's back. "Wait! What are you doing here?" She asked but I ignored it. The panther hoped off the pillar, onto the lake and began running toward the stone bank where my team was, leaving her question unanswered. I ran straight through the brawl, paying no attention to my surroundings, just aimed for stone shore of the palace. Rajput was dead and that’s all that mattered. I passed the battle and was almost ashore. Danielle flew out and retrieved me from the Panther, "We heard everything, let's get out of here." She carried me to the shore, where Ray awaited us. Xim laid unconscious on the stone floor. "She'll be fine," Ray said "she'll wake up soon, no permanent damage." Danielle shook her head. All of a sudden the ground started to shake like there was an earthquake. The marble tile of the palace floor began to crack. "What's going on?" Ray asked. We looked out to the lake but the conflict there wasn't causing it. Danielle's eyes went white and she used her Harpies Blessing to look around. "In the floor; it's Raveen with an Earth Style Leviathan!" she alerted; pointed to the ground beneath our feet. Ray possessed Xim's unconscious body and Danielle carried him out the way. The Leviathan erupted from the floor with Raveen on it’s back. "I'm tired of this crap!" I yelled. Ray dropped out of Xim's body "Toss her to Marai; we're going to use Ghost Winds." The Leviathan struck out at Ray, but he jumped over it. I sheathed my sword and Danielle tossed Xim's body to me. Ray possessed Danielle. Raveen told the beast to aim for me; it turned and shot a Stone Ball at me. Danielle flew by and knocked it off course. Then she began flying circles around the eel at an eye blinding speed. Two purple haze hands extended from her body, wrapped around the beast and held it still. Danielle stopped behind Raveen and slit his throat with a kunai. His body dropped lifelessly to the floor. The Leviathan stopped squirming to get free as soon as Ray's Haze Hands released it. With no one to control it, the brown monster roared and slithered toward the lake. Ray exited Danielle's body. "Uh…that's bad." Danielle said pointing at the Leviathan. Ray looked back "Why?" "Because all those Leviathans out there will be a hand full for them-" there was a huge poof on the lake and another red Leviathan appeared on the lake next to the brown one; this one was assumed Fire Style. "That's not our problem." I answered them. Ray shook his head. "No, we can't do that to them, they helped you." Ray said looking at Xim. He possessed Danielle and replicated her "Replication Jutsu successful." He said as he flapped his wings. He took Xim from my arms and ascended into the air. "I'll be right back." He said before jetted out to Aria's battlefield with the four eels. Danielle turned and looked at me. "He woke her up and told her to help them." Danielle informed me. She switched her attention and now was listening to something Ray was saying. Danielle's wings started flapping and she hovered into the air. "Alright." She said answering something Ray said. "What?" I asked. "Lift your hands up." She replied. "Huh? Like this?" I wondered. She grabbed one hand then Ray flew in, grabbing the other hand, and they carried me away from the Palace.

“After two long years, I’m finally done with them.” Marai sighed with relief, Wet set up camp for the night in the mountains bordering the desert, it was now dusk and we relaxed around a campfire. “What happened during our fight with Xim?” Marai asked me. “That girl is a genjutsu specialist. That weird purple flower on her headed let out her chakra without her hand seals. That genjutsu made my Harpy’s Blessing useless.” I answered. “So, how did you manager to get the upper hand, genjutsu isn’t easy to deal with.” Marai questioned. “My Wind spirits are connected with Nature Chakra, so I eventually I was able to break through without trying or knowing it.” I concluded. “Impressed, I never took Danielle as much of a fighter. You can defend yourself against a genjutsu specialist, I’m really impressed, Danielle.” Ray said to me. I smiled and thanked him then asked Marai how her Lightning Dance but Ray interjected before she could answer. “We made it last minute before leaving. Silver conducted metal the best so I sealed 8 silver pillars for summoning. If Marai uses her Plasma Charge, her body is surrounded by Lightning Chakra. Lightning Dance infuses her body with Lightning Chakra, allowing her to use the silver pillars as conductors and travel instantly between them. The only downside is her body becomes increasingly unstable as she travels more. The electricity expands and loses electrons, potentially losing pieces of her body.” He explained. Marai nodded then added “He replicated the cannibal to dive under water and set the seals to summon the pillars.” “How was it to be in the cannibal’s body?” I asked. The thought of it sent chills up my spine. “There’s no way to describe it, really. It was like there was emptiness, trying to become and exist but being forced to not; if that makes sense.” He answered. Marai looked over the fire at me, then at Ray, her Hazel eyes were deep “How did you know Wrath won’t kill you?” she asked. “Because he can’t” a voice answered from behind Ray. In an instant, Marai had her sword drawn and I activated my Harpy’s Blessing. “Who’s there?” Marai snarled. Ray put his hand up “Calm down, he’s right.” He said.

He stepped out from the behind the trunk of the tree that Ray leaned on. He was dressed in a full ninja suit, his face fully covered except two huge blue smoke-like claws that extended from the back of his neck. “Ask Ray who I am.” He hissed. “He’s Greed.” Ray introduced with contempt. I was shocked “Like the Ninja Sin Greed?!” I asked.  “Yeah, but he isn’t going to bother you guys. Or he’ll regret it.” Ray threatened Greed. He narrowed his narrowed his eyes and gave Greed a dirty look. Greed laughed “Boy, if Sloth was here, he’d rip your ass to shreds, Ray.” But you’re right, I won’t hurt them. There isn't even a trace of greed in them to give me power anyways. You guys are a class act. A little flashy though. The leader is clearly the girl in black with the black scarf and sword; never thought you'd take orders from someone younger than you Ray. You're still wearing purple with that long headband. And you in the red! With the grey eyes, you're kind of cute." He laughed. I rolled my eyes. A look of anger flashed over Ray's face "You better watch it, Greed." He growled. "What's this all about Ray?" I asked "And…..why doesn't he give off the evil charka the other sins give off?" Greed laughed and jumped out of the tree. He pulled off his hood and face mask; He looked exactly like Ray. Danielle and I were stunned. All except his snake like eyes, he was exactly like Ray. Build, voice, movement, and especially his face. "Yeah, I kinda forgot to tell you guys. Greed is a replica of me." Ray said. I stared in amazement. "How can you forget something like that Ray?!" I exploded. "It doesn't involve you guys so why would I? Anyways, that's why Wrath or any other Sin can't kill me, because then Greed will no longer exist." He answered. Greed laughed and interrupted "Good work hurting Wrath by the way, with the whole possessing certain parts and hurting himself. I was watching you guys." I got mad, he was talking pointlessly. "What do you want here?" I asked. Ray answered for him "He wants me to reverse the Replication Jutsu. He wants his original body back." "How did he even get like that?" I asked irritated.
